Obamas tax promises no longer carry any water

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

The rumbles are starting. Where will the money come from is the question. When elected, Obama stated that “If you make less than $250,000 per year you will not see any new taxes.” Guess what is coming for ALL of us, whether you make more or less than $250,000 per year.

Have you ever heard of the term V.A.T.? It is what is known as a Value Added Tax. What it is is a government sales tax on every monetary transaction made by everyone in the United States. You buy food, gas, home electricity, go to movies, anything, the government will tax you.

Why is it needed? Because the current leadership, Democrats, are spending more money than is in their coffers. Are you rich or poor? It won’t matter. The current amount being proposed is 17%. That means for every dollar of product that you buy you will pay an extra $0.17 to help the government. This is what is being done in Europe, Greece and several places in the world.

If our government would stop spending what they don’t have, let companies fail and balance the budget, we would see things really change for the better. When governments run out of other people’s money they fail. We are close.

Vote for the conservative on June 8. We don’t need new taxes, we need new businesses!
