I was very disappointed with the Ken Johnson, local teacher, letter. I am supportive of good pay for good teachers. 
I have trouble with the twisting of facts and numbers. A 2% raise is a 2% raise.  Going to a meeting for an hour is not adding two hours to your work week.  Mr. Johnson is obviously unhappy with his profession and the pay rates it commands.  Based on his letter I believe both he and our students would be better served if he changes professions.
