Recycling trucks need to slow down

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Last Wednesday, July 15, my daughter and my grandchildren ages 4 and 3, came to pick me up.

The recycling trucks were going around the neighborhood, Princeton Place and Brandywine. When she arrived there was a lot of traffic. She turned around in a neighbor's driveway, started to back out when a speeding recycling truck sped down Brandywine coming from Lexington, nearly hit her which would have killed my grandkids and daughter.

I called the Refuse Department and was basically told too bad lady, you should have gotten the truck number. Even after I said he was going too fast, but she would tell his boss. As a reminder in a neighborhood the speed limit is 25 mph.
