Republican wine tasting fundraiser a success

On Oct. 7, the San Joaquin Republican Central Committee, District 5 members held a fund raiser to benefit our current voter registration drive.  It was held at two new wineries in Tracy, the Windmill Ridge Winery and Ramos Rios Winery, which are located next door to each other on W. Linne Road in Tracy.  We held an auction, silent auction, and a raffle.

It was attended by over 100 people including many public officials, and as chairman of the event, I want to say thank you to all involved.

First, I want to thank both wineries for allowing the use of their beautiful facilities and the tasting of their wonderful wines.  Without them we would not have had a place to hold this event.  Then I want to thank the Honorable Bill Berryhill for his sponsorship and his attendance.  We really appreciate all your support.  I’d like to thank all the people who donated gifts for the raffle including The Olive Pantry, Jesus Mountain Coffee, Frank Aquila, Kathy Aartman-Weed and her husband, Jerry, El Jardin Restaurant, Brickyard Oven Restaurant, and the Manteca Republican Federated Women’s group, all from Manteca.  I’d also like to thank Jackson Ranchero in Jackson for their donation as well.

From Tracy, our business sponsor was The Texas Roadhouse.  We also had several members and attendees that contributed to the event with food and prizes, and time. The food just kept coming and coming as well as the prizes.  I thank you all. It was a fabulous evening and I believe a fun time was had by all who attended the event.  Again, thank you all for making this event a success.
