Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

On Friday, Feb. 24, the Ripon Quarterback Club held its annual Almond Blossom Golf Tournament at Spring Creek Country Club.  We had a sold out field and the weather was the best.

We’d like to acknowledge and thank Jim Toal, Shea Rollins, Glen Stubblefield and their staff for doing a great job of hosting our event.  Thanks also goes out to Mike Shaw, Chic Cardoza, Jim Stuart and Jim Rowe for helping set up the course. Want to thank Carol Franscella, Beverly Cardoza, Marge Vieira, Celena and Danny Brown and Craig Den Dulk for working out on the course during the day.

We also would like to thank everyone who supported us by either playing or donating to our tournament in other ways. We’d like to give special thanks Greg Wilson and Vernon Transportation and DBI Beverage for being corporate sponsors. To  Bob Brocchini and Brocchini Farms for his continuing support of our raffle, Dean Uecker and Farmers Insurance and  Steve’s Chevrolet for supplying the car for the hole in one contest and Vernon Transportation for sponsoring the putting contest. We want to thank Jeff Liotard, Curt Zimmerman and KiKi Shaw for donating raffle prizes.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank all the businesses that sponsored a golf hole this year.  Schemper’s Hardware,  Ole Towne, J.R. Thank you all.
