Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Having just completed a very successful school year at Lincoln Elementary, I wanted to publically recognize two local businesses that have gone above and beyond with their generosity and support of student achievement and school community.

Mr. Josh Schmidt, manager at Manteca Food 4 Less, located on East Yosemite, and his staff, again have embraced the importance of school community partnerships by donating generously to many school events but especially the school’s carnival. The success of the school carnival, measured by family attendance, smiles and a few dollars was in a large part due to the Manteca Food 4 Less generosity. In addition Mr. Schmidt, continues to work with our students and families organizing educational field trips to the Food 4Less Store. We are extremely appreciative of our partnership with our local Food 4 Less and the Food 4Less Corporation.

Mr. Sukhi Sandhu, owner, of the 7-Eleven, #21756, located on East Yosemite, has partnered with Lincoln School to recognize student’s academic success and efforts through the 7-Eleven Slurpees for Success program. Mr. Sandhu has generously given out over two hundred free Slurpee’s to Lincoln students who have shown academic growth just this year. In, addition Seven/Eleven was also a major donator to the Lincoln School carnival and its success. “Every day is a good day to give back to the school and community,” was the quote from Mr. Sandu, when asked if it was OK to visit for Slurpees.
