Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Wells. I am a senior at East Union High School and my senior project was a bake sale to raise money for the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance. Because I wanted to donate all of the proceeds from the sale I sought donations of the ingredients from the Manteca Raley’s and the Save Mart on North Main St. Thanks to their support and generosity I did not need to purchase any of the ingredients needed for the different baked goods.
I would also like to thank all the people who came out to support me and help me exceed my goal. Which was to send $200 to the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance, JOFA. Because of the kind support from the caring people of Manteca and Stockton, I was able to raise nearly $300.
I hope that you will run this in the Manteca Bulletin to tell the people of Manteca about the two great stores that helped out a local teen, even while we are in the eye of a recession. Thank you.
