I am writing in to send my condolences to the Comden family. I had Mr. Comden as my kindergarten teacher in the 1981-82 school year. I remember my first day being scared and Mr. Comden whipping out some Gummy Bears from his jacket and pretending they were trying to eat his mustache.
I still smile over the memory after 29 years. He was a good man. To this day he was my favorite teacher and always will be. I thank God everyday that Mr. Comden was my first school teacher. He instilled in me a love for learning that has carried over into everything else to this day.
Heaven has gotten one of its best angels back. Thank you to his family for sharing him with all of us whom he taught.
