Larry Baca hates facts. So when my latest letter in the Manteca Bulletin, “You must be a Democrat if…”,  I knew Baca would have a difficult time responding.  But knowing Baca, he found enough fake news to write, “You are of the Trump mindset if…”
Baca attempts to see no wrong with being a freeloader.  Only problem Baca, nothing is free.  Someone has to pay for everything free.  It is usually the taxpayer — your neighbor that gets up early in the morning to go to work.  Baca points out that other countries offer free healthcare and free education; but the facts slap him in the face again when he failed to mention Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and other nations faced bankruptcy due to their socialistic government.  You see Baca, when you have more takers than givers, you have a problem.
Baca wants to call anyone who supports a border fence a racist; but another fact is when Senator Barack Obama voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, stating “better fences and better security along our border” would “help stem some of the tide of illegal immigration in this country.”
Maybe Baca remembers President Bill Clinton stating, “After years of neglect, this administration has taken a strong stand to stiffen the protection of our borders.”  “We are a nation of laws.”  Baca wishes those facts would go away.
I think it is fact that you Baca voted for both Obama and Clinton and did not call them racist as you do Trump and his supporters for saying the same thing.  Why?
Facts always seem to get in the way for Baca.  He went as far as defending Antifa, stating they stand for Anti Fascist.  Really Baca?  That’s all you have?  Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization.  They are thugs who use violence to intimidate those who disagree with them politically.  They are cowards who dress in black with their face covered while inciting lawlessness and disobedience.
Baca also missed the fact that NFL kneelers disrespecting our military and flag is directed at police officers.  Baca must think it is acceptable for the chants of death to officer stating, “Pigs in a Blanket” and “Dead Cops Now!”  Oh, but it is amazing that you left that important fact out.
Baca, you have a difficult time dealing with facts, which leads me to this little story.
A woman in a hot-air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.”
She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Republican.”
“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”
“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”
The man smiled and responded, “You must be a Democrat.”
“I am,” replied the balloonist. “How did you know?”
“Well,” said the man, “You don’t know where you are or where you are going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it’s my fault.”
Deal with the facts Baca and enjoy the tax benefit you will have because of President Trump.  It will be needed to pay for the gas tax and registration tax from Democrat Governor Jerry Brown.
