Supervisors monkeying with term limits via D
Placeholder Image

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

It's hard to believe that only 10 years ago we had uncontrollable corruption at high levels of county government.

I believe that  a person giving service to their country should give one or two terms and then go home, go back to work like "We the People", and live under the laws and programs they have enacted.

And since they take an oath to abide by and protect the US Constitution "We The People" should be watching what they do and how they vote.  If they go against their Oath of Office, they should be recalled or certainly not voted in for a second term.

I see where the County Board of Supervisors may be in some hot water again. They put together a Political Action Committee (PAC) to promote Measure D, an initiative they placed on the November ballot that if passed, would undo the current two term limit and allow them to stay in office for a third term.  I hope the California State Fair Political Practices Commission investigates their actions.  This is very troubling.

Look at Washington, DC, and the career politicians there, and the mess they've made of our country.  We don't want that to happen here.

Vote no on Measure D
