Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
We at French Camp School sincerely wish to thank the following people for volunteering their time at our career day on April 24, 2009:

French Camp Fire Department, Jason Hensley (Manteca PD), Sue Enz (Village Oak Veterinarian Hospital), John Mangelos (Barnwood Restaurant), Erik Alves, Vince Rembulat (Bulletin), Commissioner Lundeberg, Judge Northup, Alicia Ysais (Delicato Winery), Don Thornberg (SSJID), Steve Stewart (microbiologist), Cory Hill, Norm Knodt, Patty Page and Ben Cadile (MUSD nutritional services), Jeff Liotard, Mary Smalley (Bank of the West), Steve Berchtold (Probation), Karl Knudtsen (JROTC), Laura Kahler (nursing), June French, Greg Lalka (News 10), Randy “Bubba” Black, and Daniel Hutsell (sheriff).

A special thanks to Trish Were and Frank Saldana and the group from Manteca Masters Commission for concluding the day with their energetic and motivational assembly.

These people took time from their busy schedules to share their knowledge and expertise with our students, and for that we are grateful.  Often it is difficult for us as educators to convey to students the reality of the job world, and this is where their participation was so especially important.

Once again, thank you to everyone for making our Career Day 2009 a success.
