Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Leo Zuber is a candidate for election to the Ripon City Council.  It is with great pleasure that we heartily endorse his candidacy.  We have known Leo for more than 30 years as administrator, fellow Lion and friend.   There is no one more qualified for this position.

Leo has been part of the Ripon community since 1979 and a resident since 1985. He spent 29 years as an administrator in the Ripon Unified School District, the last 15 years as the district’s superintendent. He worked tirelessly to ensure that each and every child received an outstanding education and was prepared for life after high school.

But Leo has done and continues to do much more for our community. He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 1994 and has devoted countless hours to events such as the Almond Blossom Festival, Color the Skies (now called Soaring Over Ripon), Main Street Days and A Taste of Ripon. He has been a member of the Ripon Lions Club and contributed to many community projects and activities supported by the Lions. As a founding director for the Ripon Arts League he has worked to bring a variety of musical performances to the community and supported efforts to bring the arts to our schools.

Leo has served the past four years on the City Council and is seeking re-election to continue his work to address issues such as road repair and commercial development. He is accessible to the community and open and forthright in his dealings with residents and city staff. Ripon is a great community and having Leo Zuber on the City Council will help us keep it that way.  Please join us in voting for Leo.
