Vogel supports Janet Dyk for county school board
letter to editor

 Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
This letter is to support the re-election of Janet Dyk to the San Joaquin County Board of Education. Janet has represented Area 1, which includes the cities of Escalon, Ripon, Manteca, and Tracy since July 2012. During that time she has worked hard for her constituents, missing only one meeting in six years.
Janet has an extensive background in education and working with children.  She worked for the Manteca Unified School District for 22 years in such roles as GATE coordinator and computer instructor. She was also very active in local 4-H programs being honored as the most inspirational 4-H leader in San Joaquin County.
After leaving the school district, she was hired by San Joaquin County to coordinate the new Ag venture Program that provides an opportunity for every third grader in the county to learn about the production and processing of locally grown agricultural commodities. To help make this program a success, Janet visited every school in the county and worked hard to arrange transportation for all third graders. She wrote three successful grants to support this program that totaled over $700.000.
Janet has been recognized locally for her involvement and dedication to her area. She was inducted into the Manteca Hall of Fame in 2010 and her small business was recognized as the Ripon Business of the Year in 2014.
I am honored to support Janet Dyk for re-election to the county school board
