Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
An article in the Manteca Bulletin noted Manteca Unified School District honchos are ready to start spending Measure G money on five elementary schools. What about East Union High’s faulty fire alarm or was playing that up just a way to snowball voters to pass the bond?
Numerous items were listed for repairs and other Mickey Mouse projects. Among them was relocating school administration offices for better visibility. Who are they going to watch for, people with Measure G signs that say “than you thank you voters now we can go on a spending spree?”
Now of all things they want to spend a million dollars at Lincoln Elementary for a multi-purpose room for a 65-year-old school. The way it is going now with all the things they “need to fix,” Superintendent Jason Messer and his cohorts will be seeking another tax.
If Measure G was about spending to fix things that should have been fixed all long, poor leadership is why the schools got into such a deplorable condition.
Meanwhile, the top brass get sizeable raises while the lowly workers get next to nothing.
Perhaps Messer should take another vacation to Florida to rub elbows with Microsoft brass and enjoy his hoodwinking the voters.
