Why he’s voting to repeal state gas tax
letter to editor

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

How many times are the good people of California going to accept the State taking your hard earned designated tax money and put it to something else?

They can because the good people of California will hear their sob story and vote for more taxes again. We paid for the road repair already and what happened to those funds? Has anyone seen an “absolute” guarantee that this new road tax will go just to road repair?

Why was there a mistake on the ballot identifying this proposition? The TV news said that a large number of people have died on California roads due to their poor upkeep. Are the taxpayers at fault here or is the State?

The good citizens of California must take a stand and say “no more” and make the State use the tax money as designated and not play games moving it around for their pet projects. Could the tax dollars used to go against Proposition 6 be used to fix the roads? And that is my opinion.

Vote yes on Proposition 6.
