Worry about schools & terrorist attacks

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

I would like to publicly thank Frank Aquila for his letter of warning that schools may become a possible terrorist target. I have two daughters and I have been a teacher for several years. I have seen the reports about children being murdered in schools in other countries from these terrorists. It is obvious that the terrorists have a method of operation and they look for our vulnerability.

They have shown their willingness to kill the innocent as they did on 9/11. We should look at the massacre of children in Sandy Hook as an example of our vulnerability. The Sandy Hook massacre was done by one individual. Imagine the horror of what a terrorist organization could do. Anyone doubting the reality of terrorists murdering innocent children as a way of attacking America has been living in a bubble.

We do need to be proactive about protecting Americans. I am sure there were those that doubted if terrorists would hijack airplanes back on September 10, 2001. Thank you, Frank Aquila for bring the issue to the people. Our schools need to discuss our vulnerability and what we can do to protect our children.
