Daily attractions part of SJ Fair admission

Chef Ray Duey is a world-renowned culinary artist.

For the price of admission, he’ll display his creative food sculpting magic at the San Joaquin County Fair.

The four-day run of the fair begins on Wednesday, June 14.

The fairgrounds are located at 1658 S. Airport Way in Stockton. General admission is $10 for ages 11 and older, $5 for children ages 5 through 10, and free for youngsters age 4 and under accompanied by paid-admission fairgoer.

Since 2004, Duey has owned and operated “Chef Ray Presents.” It’s there he teaches the specialized art form of carving up produce to wide variety of professionals.

He’s a member of both the American Culinary Federation and the National Ice Carving Association.

Duey has also spent the last two decades developing his skills while creating carvings for weddings, special events, classes and seminars, in turn, wowing onlookers with his artistry.

uHypnotist Susan Rosen – She brings her world renown stage show to Stockton, with the stars being volunteers from audience. Her hypnosis is lighthearted and the young and old alike. Certified by the American Board of Hypnotherapy, Rosen has also performed at Six Flags Great America, Disneyland and Universal Studios, consistently drawing strong crowds.

 

uK-9 Kings – Eleven variety of dog breeds will perform their high-flying acrobatic routines, using a mix of music, comedy and audience participation.

 

uRafael & Katia – This duo of professional magicians and illusionist have been entertaining audiences for over 10 years. They’ve also appeared on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and AMC, CBS, Telemundo, Univision, E Channel and MTV.

 

uSkip “The Balloon Man” Banks – Skip’s act consists of him dancing, bouncing and performing crazy antics to music while wearing a giant balloon. For decades, he’s entertained folks with his fascinating and hilarious act throughout Southern California.

 

uSteven’s Balloons – Steven Rosen is the son of hypnotist Susan Rosen. His assortment of balloon creations will be done for fun and entertainment.

 

uStreet Drum Corps – Founded by Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo, the Street Drum Corps is a high-energy drum and percussion show formed in Los Angeles. They’ve performed at the various art centers, festivals, theme parks and sporting events, to name a few, since 2004.

The SJC fair hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday (June 14) through Sunday (June 18).’
