Fire Chiefs Foundation car show set Sept. 23

The Manteca Fire Chief’s Fourth Annual Car Show is expecting 60 entrants when it takes place Saturday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Station 4 on Lathrop Road west of Union Road adjacent to the Del Webb at Woodbridge neighborhood.

The event will benefit the Smoke Detector Program, Child Car Seat Program, Fire Victim Assistance that the Life Jacket Program that the Manteca Fire Department offers. 

Registration for the event is open through Sept. 15 on a first come first served basis. Entries will be displayed on Sept. 23 beginning at 8 a.m. in the order they arrive at the firehouse.  A $35 entry fee will include a T-shirt.  The fundraising effort will include food sales, a raffle and the chance to purchase additional T-shirts. 

Awards will be presented for best in show, Fire Chief’s award, Fire Marshal’s award, Battalion Chief’s award, Captain’s Award, Engineers’ Award and the Del Webb award.
