A Manteca woman in her mid-50s claimed she was sexually assaulted Friday evening at the Angels massage parlor in the 1100 block of East Yosemite Avenue by a male masseuse.  The parlor is located in a strip of shops on the south side of Yosemite Avenue facing north.

She told officers that when Xu Shu Sheng, also in his 50s, left the room she quickly got dressed and left the facility,  and then called police to report the incident.  Sheng was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp for suspicion of sexual assault and later released, police said.

He was charged with 243.4 E1 statute of the California Penal Code. It is a statute that is regarded as a wobbler misdemeanor that can be prosecuted either as a misdemeanor or as a felony with up to $10,000 in fines and two to four years in a state prison.
