Ninety teen models will take part in the eighth annual premiere runway Fashion Show at Manteca High on Saturday, March 4.

Winter Gymnasium marks a move for the event hosted by the Manteca Unified Regional Occupational Program’s Fashion Merchandising class. Previous years, the fashion show that serves as a fundraiser to help students in Angie Anya’s class attend the May field trip to Los Angeles’ Fashion District was held at the Sierra High gymnasium.

Anya said that space is limited and encourages those planning to attend to purchase tickets in advance.

Cost is $5.

The models, who are from the district’s comprehensive high schools – Manteca, East Union, Sierra and Lathrop – will again showcase the latest in spring and formal wear from local businesses such as TJ Maxx, Styles for Less, Formal Connection, to name a few.

In addition, several of the ROP classes have helped out in past events. For example, the Careers in Law Enforcement students have been on hand to provide security while the Fashion Design students have made possible the apparel.
