Dean Uecker is scheduled to become the next mayor for the City of Ripon.
This is based on a rotational formula among City Council members that was implemented as an ordinance several years ago.
Uecker, who was previously vice mayor, will again fill the seat of mayor at Tuesday’s 6 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
Prior to that, Daniel de Graaf, Leo Zuber and Jake Parks are scheduled to take the oath of office after being declared winners of the November elections. Zuber and Parks were successful in their reelection bids while de Graaf, who was the top vote-getter, is a newcomer.
Parks served as mayor for the past year and will take over the No. 4 seat. Zuber will move up to the No. 3 seat with Michael Restuccia becoming vice mayor by advancing to the No. 2 seat.
As for de Graaf, he’ll be assigned the No. 5 seat on the ladder.
Mark Winchell, who was a provisional appointment in 2014, will step down from his post.
In addition, elected leaders will vote on a resolution, certifying the Nov. 8 election results.
In other agenda items:
uCouncil members will look into waiving the non-profit fee for the Ripon Consolidated Fire District’s use of Community Center on Dec. 2.
uThey’ll also honor the family of Battalion Chief Dave Luis, who recently passed away after losing a three-year battle with cancer.
