Day 261

I wake up and race to the scale. IT BETTER HAVE DROPPED…. It did, thank goodness. This morning it reads five pound heavier than when I left. Getting better but still frustrating knowing how hard I work to get ONE pound off and now I am back up. I load my lunch box with TONS of water. I am determined to drink as much as I possibly can so I can flush the fat out. I have an even more conservative breakfast and lunch than usual. I am being extra good! Today is cardio and I kiss Mike goodbye and tell him not to expect me for a couple of hours. I am going to do a minimum of seven miles. First thing I get to is the Stairmaster. I do a little over a mile and then move over to the elliptical. I remain there for a full hour and finish at 6.5 miles. All together I do close to eight miles for the day. I feel good and somewhat redeemed. I get home to chicken breast, cauliflower and a big green salad. Hit the spot!

Day 262

OH THANK GOD….it’s only one pound away now. Just like Mike and Javi said, it would come right back off. I’m glad they were right. I will stay focused until I am back to my lowest mark. I still pack my lunch with lots of water. Sticking to protein, fruits and veggies only. Today is weight training. It’s going to be another tough one I’m sure. I am still sore from Monday’s workout but I actually like feeling sore because I know I did something right and I did it all out! I arrive for training and start with a warm up and then Javi has me do shoulders and core today. I do lifts and weights and bars and finish with sit ups and leg lifts and the dreaded planks. As always, it was hard but I really love it. I finished my night with 2.75 miles on the treadmill at level 12. I had cooked a pork roast in the crockpot so when I got home it was ready for us. We put it over shredded lettuce and it was perfect! MORE WATER, all night!

Day 263

Oh my goodness….I am 196.6, the lightest I have been in years and years. I am so excited, AND RELEIVED. I was so afraid I wasn’t going to be able to get those few pounds off and actually they fell off faster than expected. Mike said I shocked my body and now it has started dropping again. WOOHOO!!! Today is cardio and I will be doing another 7 plus miles. I’m sticking to what I have been doing (Stairmaster, elliptical and treadmill) and then this weekend I am going to move to the streets and try to do a four mile run on the bike trail. It’s been awhile since I’ve been outside the gym and I think I need it to measure my endurance.

Day 264

Feeling pretty darn good about my weight and my abilities. I am having no problem staying on track and I’m sure it all has to do with results. Today I meet Javi for our training and it ends up being a legs and core day. He doesn’t let me slip in any way, its full force and boy do I feel it. I do all kinds of leg drills and I am feeling it the second I finish. Gotta love it though! I hit the mat and do some core to finish off our workout and then he goes on to the next client and I hit the cardio. I take it easy and just do 2.5 miles.

Day 265

Rise and shine and hit the gym. That is exactly what I did. It was great because I looked REALLY BAD but who cares in the gym, right? I know it’s going to be a long one so I plug in the headphones and get to work. I finish just under eight miles. I get home, shower and head out the door for my errands. I run into many of you today and each person I talk to is so full of encouragement and support and I love that you are so willing to read my blog and hear my story each week. Young, old, men, women, big, small, doesn’t matter…..we all have battles to conquer and I am so thankful you are helping me battle mine!!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am convinced I couldn’t do it without you all!!! I do my weekly Costco trip and load up on the good stuff. Meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts and water. I get home to help from my boys and we put it all away (the hardest part).

Day 266

It takes me all day but I get to the gym late in the afternoon. After a movie with my sister (and popcorn) and then the regular grocery store, I race home to get to the gym for the final 45 minutes that it’s open. Since I only have short time I decide to see how far I can go in just 45 minutes. I end at 2.88 miles. Not the best, but I was at a medium incline and a decent pace. I was dripping with sweat so I guess it worked! I get home to barbecued chicken and a big salad. PERFECT. Thank you Mike, I couldn’t do it without you. I try to prepare and bake my morning fit-bits for the week every Sunday. They are easy and healthy and the perfect 100 calories of energy and fiber to start your mornings. Super easy to make and they last the entire week.  I normally make with a banana but the last couple weeks I have been making them with pumpkin. YUM! Here’s to wrapping up week 38 and moving on to week 39. 99 days left in this challenge.
