Baylor uses balanced offense to rout Cincinnati

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) — Kalani Brown scored 13 points and No. 5 Baylor played stifling defense to rout Cincinnati 72-34 in the opening game of the Junkanoo Jam on Thursday.
Nina Davis added 10 points while Kristina Higgins had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Bears (5-0). Niya Johnson had five points, five rebounds and 10 assists.

NO. 6 MARYLAND 95, OLD DOMINION 49
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) — Brene Moseley matched her career high with 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting to help Maryland beat Old Dominion in the Paradise Jam.
Moseley also had four assists and three steals for Maryland (4-0). Shatori Walker-Kimbrough was 6 for 7 from the field and had 16 points, and Brionna Jones added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) — Azura Stevens scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Duke over Idaho at the Cancun Challenge.
Stevens was 11 of 16 from the floor and collected her fourth straight double-double. Rebecca Greenwell added 17 points for the Blue Devils (4-1).

NO. 19 NORTHWESTERN 74, EASTERN WASHINGTON 70
CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) — Christen Inman scored a career-high 28 points, Nia Coffey added 17, and Ashley Deary had 13 points, 10 steals and seven assists to lead Northwestern at the Lone Star Showcase.
Maggie Lyon added 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots for Northwestern (4-0). Deary’s 10 steals were the second most in a women’s Division I game this season.

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) — Peyton Little and Vionise Pierre-Louis each scored 14 points for Oklahoma in the at the Junkaroo Jam
Little and Derica Wyatt sank three of the four 3-pointers the Sooners (4-1) used to pull ahead 67-50 in the fourth for their largest lead of the game.

NO. 24 GEORGE WASH. 82, HOUSTON 78
CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) — Caira Washington had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Jonquel Jones 20 points and 13 boards to lead George Washington over Houston at the Lone Star Showcase.
Leading by two at halftime, the Colonials built a 61-45 lead after three quarters behind 12 points from Washington. The Colonials (4-1) led 61-45 after three quarters.

NO. 25 IOWA 83, WRIGHT STATE 77
CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) — Chase Coley scored a career-high 22 points and Iowa beat Wright State at the Lone Star Showcase.
Coley was 11 of 16 from the floor and Alexa Kastanek was 6 of 9 from 3-point range for all 18 of her points. The Hawkeyes shot 49 percent to the Raiders’ 34 percent.
