Jordan Ribota (4 IP), Luis Barraza (2 IP) and Andy Scott were phenomenal on the bump, combining for a 12-strikeout shutout as Sierra claimed a 6-0 victory.
Barraza hit a two-run single in the first, and Joey Valencia drove another home.
Louie finished with an RBI of his own, and Scott legged out a triple.
Sierra (1-0) collected six knocks to Livingston’s two.
The T’Wolves sophomore squad won 10-0.
Junior Josh Welch got the start and was solid, allowing just two earned runs and striking out five.
Three fielding errors, however, spelled doom for the Knights.
Matt Unruh finished with a double and run scored, Robbie DeVries was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and Welch contributed a knock and an RBI to help his own cause.
The Knights (1-1) are still missing four players from RC’s playoff basketball team.
