Buffs’ pass way past Pacheco

LOS BANOS – Krys Charles threw for three touchdowns and ran for one to lead Manteca to a 34-8 junior varsity non-league win over Pacheco of Los Banos on Friday. 

 Charles threw just three passes with two of them going to Kai Begonia for touchdowns of 24 and 52 yards and the other going to Alejandro Tornero for a 65-yard touchdown play. Charles added a 1-yard scoring plunge. 

 Aidan Nicolas (seven carries, 54 yards) scored the other two Buffaloes touchdowns on an 8-yard run and a 42-yard punt return. The Manteca offense only ran 16 plays.

 Richie Garcia led the Buffaloes defense with eight tackles followed by Calvin Ramsey and Jose Rios with five stops each and David Vega with four.

Central Catholic 14, Weston Ranch 12

 MODESTO – The Raiders scored both of their touchdowns in the fourth quarter and time ran out on the Cougars before they could punch in the winning score.

 Weston Ranch’s Rogelio Ruvalcava (11 of 25 passing, 235 yards) hit Aaron Jaimes (five receptions, 135 yards) with a pair of touchdown passes. .

Zion Thomas, Nacho Gonzalez, Ricky Sanchez and Jaimes were standouts on defense for the Cougars.

Brookside Christian 46, Delta Charter 0

 TRACY – The Dragons (0-4 CCAA, 0-8 overall) managed negative yardage on the day.

 Jathen Cain led the Delta Charter defense with 11 tackles followed by Jeremiah Fontenot (10) and Tank Chartier and Cole Holsten with five apiece.
