Eric Morales threw for three touchdowns Friday to lead East Union to a 28-6 win over Lathrop in Valley Oak League sophomore action at Bennie Gatto Field. 

Morales (6 of 8 passing, 129 yards) had touchdown throws of 15 and 33 yards to Lorenzo Contreras (three receptions, 61 yards) and one of 47 yards to Nicco Cedolini (two receptions, 62 yards). Leo Bonilla (13 carries, 120 yards) added a 1-yard scoring plunge. 

Bonilla led Lancers defense with 10 tackles and Alex Yang (fumble recovery) added seven stops. 

Joey Sanches hit Alexander Villanueva with a 4-yard touchdown pass in the game’s final minute for the lone Spartans score.

TRACY – Ryan Ward threw for three touchdowns and ran for one to lead the Buffaloes at Don Nicholson Stadium. 

Ward (10 of 16 passing, 147 yards) had touchdown passes of 24 and 29 yards to Dom Rea (five receptions, 73 yards; 13 carries, 119 yards) and one of 15 yards to Isaac Searcy (four receptions, 71 yards; six carries, 43 yards) as well as a 1-yard scoring plunge. Searcy added a 28-yard touchdown run and Rea scored from 2 yards out. Gabe Ramirez chipped in 45 yards on four carries. 

Evans Nicolas, Jacob Logan and Sunny Dozier made four tackles each for Manteca and Kai Begonia recovered a muffed kickoff.
