MODESTO – The Lathrop freshmen battled a sophomore-laden frosh-soph Grace Davis squad Friday night and lost 36-6 in Western Athletic Conference action at Modesto Junior College.
Lathrop made good on an interception by Jeremiah Estante when it got its lone score on a 28-yard pass from Luis Hernandez (11 of 18 passing, 102 yards) to Aaron Ramones early late in the third quarter to draw within 14-6.
Amario Valdovinos led the Lathrop defense with six tackles followed by Harold Gary, Ralf Corla and Eduardo Reynosa with four each and Noah Martinez and Leonardo Padilla with three apiece.

The Jaguars scored 21 second-half points Thursday for the come-from-behind win at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Dominic Alvarez had 11 carries for 123 yards with a pair of touchdowns for the Buffaloes. Corey Franklin (12 carries, 70 yards) added a touchdowns and Khalid Robinson tallied 53 yards on 11 carries.
Robinson (two receptions, 35 yards) pulled in a touchdown pass from Dylan Deprater (3 of 5 passing, 45 yards).
Robinson made eight tackles followed by Corey Franklin with six and Deprater with four.

OAKDALE – The Mustangs scored 13 unanswered points in the second quarter at the Corral.
Marcelo Morales racked up 262 yards on 17 carries with three touchdowns behind the stellar blocking of Gabriel Balleza, Derrik McGee, Abraham Alcarez, Sean Brink, and Diego Montes. Morales scored on runs of 16, 63 and 74 yards.
Ryan Torres and Victor Serna made seven tackles apiece for Sierra. Ben Wheeler added six stops and Brendan Rapisura made an interception.

Daymari Cox returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a Lancers touchdown and Gustavo Delgadillo added two touchdowns on his only two carries at Dunlavey Field.
Delgadillo scored on runs of 16 and 59 yards. Marcus Brennan (seven carries, 53 yards) added a 13-yard touchdown run and Johntae Maggard scored from 9 yards out. Maggard pocketed a second touchdown on a 33-yard pass from Weaver (6 of 8 passing, 128 yards). Kainoa Ontai and Bryan Howe also contributed on offense.
Delagadillo led the East Union defense with nine tackles. Gannon Anderson and Dominic Kempf and Howe had six tackles each with Payton Graham and Daymari Cox each making five stops.
