Visiting Central Catholic used 21-point second and third periods to run away with a 49-0 Valley Oak League junior varsity football win over East Union on Friday at Dino Cunial Stadium.
Ryder Tompkins tallied five tackles for East Union with three each for Kayden Silva, Caden Miller, and Noah Germann and an interception for Urijah Lopez.
Manteca 50, Mountain House 6
E.J. Johnson ran for three touchdowns and scored another on a punt return for the Buffaloes.
Johnson (six carries, 57 yards) scored on a pair of 3-yard runs and from 20 yards out, adding an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown. Brody Carabello (7-of-11 passing, 112 yards) threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to Brixton Menchaca-Ortiz and two 5-yard scoring passes to Bode Hiatt. Ka’Ron Grisham added 45 yards on three carries.
Brandon Maravilla (five tackles), Brixton Menchaca-Ortiz (four tackles) and Johnson each made an interception, with Hiatt and Isaiah Fountain each posting five tackles.

Manteca 49, Mountain House 6
Blake Scalise threw two touchdown passes, and three other Buffaloes scored a pair apiece on Thursday at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Scalise (3 for 5 passing, 142 yards) found Santino Sanchez with a 44-yard touchdown pass and Eli Velasquez (two receptions, 98 yards) with one of 62 yards. Sanchez (eight carries, 80 yards) added another touchdown on a 7-yard run, and Velasquez scored from 9 yards out.
Bryant Lewis scored on a 3-yard run and he returned a fumble from 4 yards out for a score, and Ethan Sereno (nine carries, 65 yards) added a 5-yard touchdown run.
Lewis (two fumble recoveries, forced fumble), Zack Behrbaum (forced fumble, fumble recovery) and Junior Evans made three tackles apiece. Velasquez forced and recovered a fumble, D’Angelo Riego blocked a punt, Jacob Hernandez forced a fumble while Kyle Acker and Daniel Navarro recovered a fumble. Devyn Carrillo contributed to the defense.

The host Spartans scored 16 first-period points Wednesday and never looked back in Western Athletic Conference action at Bennie Gatto Field.
Lathrop’s Ruben Maldanado (seven carries, 114 yards) opened the scoring on a 45-yard run, and Jonathan Jackson (six carries, 54 yards) scored on a 24-yard run. Dominick Padilla added a 2-yard touchdown run, and Tre Jackson scored from 4 yards out.
