Central Catholic led by just a score at halftime Friday but the visiting Raiders had a goal-line stand to start the second half and then ran away with a 33-8 Valley Oak League sophomore win over Manteca at Guss Schmiedt Field.

The Buffaloes (3-1 VOL, 6-1 overall) appeared to be shifting momentum to start the third period with a 76-yard pass from Kyle Rachels hit Matt Ender down to the Oakdale 5-yard line. The Mustangs kept Manteca out of the end zone and the Buffaloes never threatened again.

After starting the game down 14-0 due in part to fumbling the ball away on the first play, Manteca go on the board with a 5-yard touchdown run by Vincent Ferro set up by a 36-yard pass from Rachels to Kobe Shipley.
