Andrew Brown has had his fair share of success throughout his brief varsity career, but his performance Friday in a 50-14 win over Denair is not something even Ripon Christian fans have grown accustomed to.

Brown went off on the Coyotes for six touchdowns, breaking loose for 187 yards rushing and 324 all-purpose yards. Brown scored on runs of 60, 28, 1, 10 and 3. He even got loose for a 70-yard punt return for a score.

The Knights (2-0, 4-1 overall) raced out to a 38-6 halftime lead, putting the contest away before the intermission. Denair was able to score on a one-yard plunge and a 5-yard score late in the third quarter. Brown would hit for his punt return score in the third, and a running clock would help wind things dwon for the Knights.

Clayton Blankers had a phenomenal contest too, finishing with a game-high 13 tackles to go along with a touchdown reception and a sack. Jared Stuit hauled in a 26-yard touchdown score and also had an interception for the Knights’ defense.

Brown also made three receptions for 67 yards and connected on a pair of PAT pass attempts.

The Knights will look to remain perfect in Southern League play when they travel south to Turlock to take on Turlock Christian.
