Ripon Christian hammered visiting Pajaro Valley 48-0 Friday night in non-league junior varsity action, limiting the Grizzlies from Watsonville to negative-27 yards in the first half and just five total yards overall.
Seven different Knights scored. Chase Bunnell got the wheels rolling for Ripon Christian with an 11-yard run and he followed up on that with a12-yard scoring pass to Daniel Lamdan.
Carson Cho (three carries, 48 yards) scored on a 38-yard run, Lushen Sanders scampered 49 yards for a touchdown, Dax Beidleman and Mason Clark (four carries, 54 yards) scored on short runs of 4 and 2 yards, respectively, and Isaac Venema put the exclamation point on the night with a 60-yard touchdown romp.
Beidleman paced the Ripon Christian defense with five tackles with Braden Schaapman (forced fumble) and Jack De Jong (fumble recovery) tallying five stops each with Blake Stuit adding four tackles. Josh Van Vliet made an interception.
Manteca 54, Granite Bay 0
Owen Gully threw for two touchdowns and more than 200 yards to pace the Buffaloes.
Gully was 13 of 21 passing for 228 yards with touchdown throws of 24 yards to Cameron Jiminez (three receptions, 60 yards) and 12 yards to Jose Rios. Nikko Juarez (eight carries, 90 yards; five receptions, 80 yards) scored on a 1-yard run, Kyrin Barajas and Matayo De la Rosa each scored on 2-yard runs and Micah Cardoza had a 10-yard touchdown run.
Xzyloh Kuresa returned a fumble 28 yards for a Manteca touchdown. Logan Pool (interception) made seven tackles for the Buffaloes, Elijah Stevenson (fumble recovery) made three stops and Evan White forced a fumble.
Sierra 40, Grace Davis 12
The Timberwolves put up 21 points in the second period for a 30-6 halftime lead.
Sierra’s Riley Kane (8 of 13 passing, 135 yards passing) and Ryan Reyes each scored two rushing touchdown and Reyes kicked a 30-yard field goal. Christian Anaya gained 48 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown.
The Timberwolves defense posted two safeties.
Bradshaw Christian 21, Lathrop 14
Neither team could score in the second half.
Treydon Santos was the workhorse for the Spartans with 179 yards on 18 carries with touchdown runs of 3 and 19 yards. Richard Felina added 43 yards on one touch and Malachi Gonzales picked up 35 yards on 11 carries.
