Ripon’s Grant Wiebe busted into the Sierra backfield in the game’s final minute to stuff a Timberwolves conversion attempt and give the visiting Indians a thrilling 22-21 non-league sophomore win at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium. 

Kimani Stanley ran wild for Sierra, picking up 234 yards on 17 carries with 1-, 26- and 80 yards along with a conversion run. 

Brandon Rainer (four carries, 59 yards) scored on runs of 16 and 43 yards for Ripon and teammate Danny Hernandez (nine carries, 55 yards) had a 6-yard touchdown run. Wiebe pounded out 94 yards on 13 carries. 

Henry Palacios recovered a fumble for Sierra. 

Manteca 14,

Valley Christian-San Jose 6

The Buffaloes scored their 14 points before allowing the Warriors a third-quarter touchdown at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Dom Rea (10 carries, 82 yards; two receptions, 65 yards) scored both Manteca touchdowns, the first in the second quarter on a 39-yard pass from Ryan Ward (3 of 6 passing, 69 yards) and the second one in the third period on a 60-yard run. Issac Searcy added 10 yards on 19 carries. 

Evans Nicolas led the Buffaloes defense with seven tackles. Kevin Thornburg (six tackles), Gabe Ramirez (four tackles) and Garren Genilla (three tackles) each recovered a fumble and Junior Escobar made six tackles and forced a fumble.
