There was no mistaking the more dominant team Friday as the Sierra Timberwolves followed an impressive win over the Oakdale Mustangs with a one-sided blowout of the visiting East Union Lancers.

The homecoming atmosphere likely had a positive effect on the host Timberwolves, as they jumped on the Lancers early and never relinquished.

Sierra got a touchdown on the ground and through the air from quarterback Devin Nunez. Jared Silviera and Jordan Thompson both had a pair of rushing scores for Sierra in the blowout. Sierra place kicker Marissa LaQuaglia converted on six point after attempts.

The Timberwolves defensive unit was lead bu the play of safety Joseph Valenzuela. John Cebelli-Sanford, Trey McCray, Mateo Hernandez, Tyler Lewis, Jake Gullett and Andrew Perry all had solid outings for the defense.

The Timberwolves will meet up with the Manteca Buffaloes Friday to continue the VOL schedule.
