The Weston Ranch Cougars sophomore football team closed out an impressive season with a lopsided 46-0 Valley Oak League victory over the Sierra Timberwolves Friday.

The victory allowed the Cougars to finish the VOL grind with five consecutive victories, to finish in second place alongside Manteca High in the league standings.

Erron Duncan led the way for the Cougars ground attack with 101 yards rushing and a score. Teammate Chris Cannady handled the bulk of the Cougars receiving production with 93 yards on five catches. Cannady also hauled in a touchdown in the win.

Weston Ranch (5-2, 7-3 overall) got solid quarterback play from Marcus Moore, who tossed a pair of scores and also ran one in.

Micheal Minjares broke loose for a 46-yard touchdown run and also nabbed an interception for the Cougars. Duncan was also able to make good on an interception.
