Weston Ranch guards Gavin Wilburn and Donjaé Lindsey and Sierra's Kendrick Currey headline area standouts on the All-Valley Oak League team.

All three are two-time selections to the All-VOL first team. Central Catholic point guard Dayton Magana is Most Valuable Player, an award that went to Wilburn last season. Central Catholic's Mike Wilson won Coach of the Year.

Magana led the Raiders (12-0, 24-9 overall) to an undefeated run through the VOL, which included two upset wins over then-defending champion Weston Ranch — his buzzer-beating, halfcourt 3-pointer completed the series sweep and clinched the title. He averaged 18.5 points and 3.7 assists per game.

The heartbreaking defeat to Central Catholic was one of just two losses in Weston Ranch's final 20 games of the season. The Cougars (10-2, 24-12), who were 4-9 going into their league opener, reached the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I semifinals and captured the program's first-ever CIF Northern California regional title in Division II.

At the center of Weston Ranch's historic campaign was the versatile Wilburn, a four-year varsity starter who produced 14.3 points, 3.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Lindsey, a third-year junior, was the team's leading scorer at 17 points per game.

Currey averaged 18.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.5 steals and 1 block as the go-to guard for Sierra (5-7, 14-13). Third-place Manteca (7-5, 15-15) had its two post standouts, senior Jordan Burciaga and junior Nick Bell, make the all-league second team. East Union guard Parmbir Khattra was also named to the second team along with Weston Ranch senior post Jordahn Johnson and junior guard Mi'Son Coilton.

East Union senior guard Lydell King got honorable mention and was picked for the all-defensive team. Fellow Lancer Christian Cuevas and Manteca's Spencer Briscoe earned honorable mention. Weston Ranch's Titus Haley, Manteca's Rashawn Ballard and Sierra's Jesse Ortiz-Martinez received all-defensive recognition.
