Buffaloes trample Jags for third-straight victory

Manteca is on a three-match winning streak after thumping Kimball 8-1 in Tracy on Wednesday.

The Buffaloes (10-2) are looking to finish the regular season strong with the Valley Oak League’s No. 2 playoff seed still up for grabs. They host Lathrop today before their big finale with Oakdale on Oct. 16.

Kimball was able to salvage a point with its win at No. 1 singles. Kylie Moxley defeated Elizabeth Tolbert, 6-1, 6-1.

Sealy McAdams warded off Viel Salgarino 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles. All other matches were fairly routine for Manteca.

Julia Saling (6-0, 6-3), Fechi Nkwocha (6-1, 6-1), Katie Inderbitzin (6-1, 6-0) and Lejla Pepic (6-2, 6-1) swept their singles matches.

In doubles, Alondra Avila and Kaitlyn Hoyer rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Stefania Mercado and Koryn Menasco were 6-2, 6-2 victors. Gladis Sandoval and Rubel Dehal triumphed, 6-0, 6-1.
