Logan Jackson continues to make a splash in a sport where Buffalo don’t often roam – diving.

Jackson recently finished 11th out of 34 divers at the Amador Valley 11 Dive Invitational in Pleasanton, a placement that hints at future success. Nine of the 10 divers that finished ahead of the Manteca High sophomore were seniors.

She closed with 341.75 points.

The calendar remains busy for Jackson, believed to be Manteca High’s first diver in more than 20 years. She will next compete at the St. Mary’s 11 Dive Invitational on Thursday and travel to Sacramento for the St. Francis 11 Dive Invitational on Saturday.

The meets will serve as tune-up for the sub-sectional meet at Johansen on Thursday, May 8.

Jackson qualified for the frosh-soph sub-section meet as a freshman after finishing first or second in six of her eight league meets and placing third at the SJAA/TCAL Championships.

Jackson represents Manteca High as a member of the Tracy High swim and dive program. Tracy is a member of the San Joaquin Athletic Association.
