SACRAMENTO (AP) — Afure Jemerigbe had 14 points and nine steals as St. Mary’s of Stockton clinched the Division III girls NorCal championship at Arco Arena with a 70-45 win over Sacramento Saturday.

All five St. Mary’s (33-1) starters joined Jemerigbe in double figures. Ali Gibson had 13 points, Manteca native Chelsea Gray came up with 12 points, Annisa Garcia scored 11 and Alle Moreno contributed with 10.

St. Mary’s also finished with 26 steals.

Brittany Shine topped Sacramento (27-7) with 17 points, but the Dragons turned the ball over 38 times and never led.

The win gives St. Mary’s its second straight NorCal championship, and fourth since 2004.

The Rams advance to the state championship game against Bishop Amat of La Puente March 27 in Bakersfield where they will defend their D-III title.
