At Winter Gymnasium, the Buffaloes dug themselves too deep of a hole to climb out of in a 20-25, 16-25, 25-22, 22-25 defeat. Individual statistics were not available as of press time.

“We missed too many serves and didn’t pass very well,” Manteca coach Kevin Bolding said.

SOCCER

Weston Ranch 2, Galt 2

STOCKTON — Despite a one-man advantage, the Cougars ( 3-1-1) were only able to come up with a tie against one of the section’s established powerhouses.

All goals were netted in the second half. Kevin Medina assisted Deon Coffey’s goal before scoring his own off a feed from Joseph Mayorca. Eddie Acosta (two saves) and Andy Martinez (one save) split time at goal.

The Cougars, coming off winning their bracket in the Pitman Tournament, head to Edison today.
