The under-19 girls Fury are still perfect.
The Manteca Area Soccer League club improved to 4-0 with Saturday’s 7-0 trouncing of the Stockton Sea Horses at rain-drenched Woodward Park.
Ivy Benson was at the forefront of the barrage with a hat trick. She went end line to end line for one, blocking the shot of a Stockton player before gathering the ball and taking it the length of the field on a breakaway.
Anna Arriola and Carla Ochoa each added a goal and two assists. Fabiola Magana chipped in one goal, and Tyanne Woodyard-Smith capped the scoring with the assist coming from Kareena Escartin. The MASL team peppered the Sea Horses’ goal with 22 total attempts.
Escartin was the first-half goalie for the Fury, coming up with four saves. Adriana Baldibia-Bejar kept the shutout in play and had two saves.
