Sierra brought home two individual gold medals and East Union one from the Tom Moore Relays on Saturday at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.

 Sierra’s Jojo Macias cleared 14 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault and teammate Anthony Santiago won the shot put (52-0 ½). East Union’s Cody Keener tied for first at 5-10 with Anthony Rhoads of West-Tracy.

 East Union picked up three firsts in the relays – girls 400 meters (50.34 seconds), coed 800 (1:41.81) and boys 400 (44.05).

 Ripon edged Weston Ranch for first in the boys 800 sprint medley relay – 1:37.38 to 1:37.39 – and East Union was fifth (1:39.95)

 There were three silver medals handed out in the field events for local athletes: Brent White of Ripon in the triple jump (40-0 ¼), Lathrop’s Elijah Hunter in the shot put (42-8) and Anthony Santiago of Sierra in the discus (124-11)

  Iris Carillo of Weston Ranch was third in the 800 (2:33.84) and 1600 (5:29.30). The Lathrop girls 1600 relay of Terrina Phillips, Stefanie Rock, Danya Phillips and Kira Booth was third (4:42.50) as was the Weston Ranch boys 1600 relay of Jordell Burks, Andrew Phan, Zack Sims and Erron Duncan (3:37.53) and the East Union girls 800 sprint relay (1:56.42).

 Sierra’ Chukwudi Osondu finished third in the boys high jump (5-6), East Union’s Maliah Watson was third in the girls discus (96-6 ½) and fourth in the shot put (31-8 ½). Also finishing fourth was Leonardo Resendiz of Weston Ranch in the 800 (2:06.58) and the Ripon girls 1600 relay team of Taylor Werner, Aliyah Lozano, Elizabeth Eicher and Ellie Waters (4:42.64).

 Lathrop’s Laury Tchouante-Diboki was fifth in the triple jump (29-8 ½) and in a five-way tie for fifth in the high jump (4-4).  Garet Stone of Sierra was fifth in the 1600 (4:39.67) as was Timberwolves teammate Rumnick Cheema in the discus (113-9). The East Union boys hurdle shuttle (38.49) and Sierra 400 relay (52.22) were fifth.

Ellie Waters of Ripon was sixth in the 1600 (5:46.22) and Felipe Garcia-Moran was sixth in the pole vault (10-6) along with Weston Ranch’s James Walker in the long jump (19-6 ½). Lathrop had two relay teams finish sixth – the 800 coed relay (1:47.35) and girls 800 sprint relay (2:01.53) along with two East Union girls relays – the distance medley (14:46.54) and hurdle shuttle (40.18).

 Sierra was fourth in the boys teams standings and East Union sixth. The Lancers girls finished fifth.
