GOLF: Toledo leads Ripon to 1st place in VFL Tournament

LODI — Bianca Toledo led four Ripon golfers in the top 10, and the Indians are now tied atop the Valley Foothill League’s North Division standings after winning the mid-season tournament Monday at Micke Grove Golf Links.
Toledo was low medalist with a 90, two strokes better than runners-up Kaylee Weaver of Argonaut and Jessie Thomson of Bret Harte. Ripon totaled a 393 score, while Bret Harte — which is undefeated in duals — took second with a 412. Argonaut (446), Summerville (465), Escalon (475), Linden (485), Sonora (537), Waterford (600) and Amador (no score) followed.
Myra Toledo and Kassidy Isham each added a 100 for Ripon. Zoe Bremer placed seventh with a 103. Haley Meece (21st, 122) and Adrian DiGuilo (27th, 138) recorded the Indians’ throw-out scores.
Ripon (7-1) hosted Bret Harte (8-0) on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
