Indians place seventh in Lincoln Invitational

Ripon High’s boys golf team placed a respectable seventh out of 16 teams in the Lincoln Invitational Monday at Brookside Country Club in Stockton.

St. Mary’s won the tournament with an impressive score of 368. Its individual throw-out was a 78, while Colin Reinschell earned medalist honors with an even 72. Second-place Christian Brothers checked in with a 384 and Jesuit finished third with 386.

Ripon’s total of 421 was highlighted by Zach Capel’s 75. He was one of 12 competitors to finish with a score of 75 or lower.

Also scoring for the Indians were Jack Brierly (81), Jason Williamson (87), Nick Sharp (87) and Cole Bagdasarian (91).
