Jr T’wolves take 1st loss in shutout by Rampage

The Tracy Rampage varsity handed the Manteca Jr. Timberwolves their first Central Valley Youth Football loss of the season Saturday with a 36-0 shutout at Dino Cunial Field.

Tommy Perea (14 carries for 40 yards), Jordan Serbousek (11 carries for 20 yards) and Fernando Alaniz (two carries 11 yards)

Perea tallied 11 tackles, Serbousek five with four apiece for Alaniz, Anthony Garcia and Vincent Torres.


Lathrop Spartans 39, Tracy Buccaneers 7

Teagan Shevlinand Ryan Buccat combined for three touchdowns through the air for Lathrop.

Shevlin (300 yards passing) added a rushing touchdown and Buccat had 250 receiving yards. Isaiah White (70 yards rushing) ran for two touchdowns and David Villavicencio had 160 yards rushing.

Oscar Romero and David Villavicencio each recovered a fumble and Buccat made an interception.

The Spartans JV lost 19-6, as did the novice and starts, 12-6. 


Modesto Raiders 21, Manteca Cowboys 7

Bryce Davis scored the lone Manteca touchdown on a 5-yard run in the third quarter.

Davis ground out 143 yards on 14 carries.

Davis made six tackles, Nico Salcido (interception) five and Ivan Alvarez , Izayah Houston and Mantaab Sandhu three apiece.


Junior varsity

Jr. Timberwolves 36, 

Rampage 18

Manteca’s Juju Moncada scored two touchdowns and ran for more than 100 yards.

Moncada had nine carries for 133 yards with touchdown runs of 15 and 33 yards. Gage Pfeifer (eight carries, 86 yards) scored on a 56-yard run, Luis Rosas Jr. added a 20-yard touchdown run and Ivan Huerta (four receptions, 90 yards) pulled in a 20-yard touchdown pass from Preston Smith (4 of 8 passing, 90 yards). Luis Rosas and Micah Cardoza also contributed on offense.

Cardoza made seven tackles, Rosas Jr. and Isiah Alcocer five each, Huerta, Pfeifer, Noah Navarro and Xavier Flores four each and Acie Matthews (fumble recovery) two.


Raiders 13, Cowboys 7

The Cowboys defense kept the Raiders out of the end zone with Modesto scoring on a returned fumble and a blocked punt.

The Manteca offense could not find the end zone either as the lone Cowboys touchdown came on an interception return by Santana Stevenson.

Stevenson (five receptions, for 88 yards), Dylan Stonum (four receptions, 62 yards), Quinn Martinez (eight carries, 52 yards), Blake Mount (seven carries, 45 yards; three receptions, 43 yards) and Anthony Morales led the Manteca offense.

Gavin Goodwin paced the Cowboys defense with 14 tackles. Mount had 13 stops, Brandon Sena and Isaac Alvaraz 12, Stevenson, Jeremy Ap’e and Christopher Gallego nine apiece, Izik Quezada eight, Robbie Espinoza six and Iseah Amada five.


Rookies

Rampage 39, 

Jr. Timberwolves 19

The Jr. Timberwolves jumped out to a 13-0 lead only for the Rampage then put up 26 unanswered points.

Madden Melendez (12 carries, 126 yards) scored on 20- and 43- yards run and

Brody Carabello added a 1-yard run scoring plunge.

Albert Menchaca had 10 carries for 43 yards with Kendall Sweet-Mallory and Leiland Riggelman also contributed on offense.

Carabello (six tackles) and Gilbert Luiz (five tackles) each recovered a fumble. Menchaca and Sweet-Mallory added four stops each with two apiece for Melendez, Tino Torres and Eric Vaquera.


Cowboys 20, Raiders 0

Nico Juarez posted three touchdowns for Manteca.

Juarez (14 carries, 123 yards) scored on 1- and 32-yard runs and on a 27-yard fumble return.

Devin Downey led the Cowboys with eight tackles. Juarez, Jayden Davidson, Kyle Cayode (interception) and Julian Ramirez made five tackles apiece, Daniel Bass Jr. recovered two fumbles and Julian Constance made an onside kick recovery.

Manteca put up 13 points in the third quarter.

Santino Sanchez (five carries, 73 yards) had the run of the day for the Jr. Timberwolves on a 55-yard touchdown scamper. Rudy Torres (five carries, 57 yards) made a 32-yard touchdown catch and Jayce Haskell scored from a yard out. Blake Scalise added 27 yards on two carries and 55 yards on two catches. 

Sanchez made six tackles, Jaxson Eseed four and Navi Murillo and Rudy Torres three apiece. 


Raiders 21, Cowboys 0

Terrence Montgomery picked up 68 yards on eight carries and made 10 tackles for Manteca. 

Brian Lewis and Isaac Estrada also contributed to the Manteca offense.

Lewis made seven tackles, Estrada seven and Ayden Brown (fumble recovery) six.
