TRACY – By the time Lathrop finally got on the board Monday night it was too late as Kimball downed the Spartans 3-1 in Valley Oak League boys soccer action.
“We came out flat,” Lathrop coach Alfredo Reynaga said. “We did not play up to our standards.
“We shot ourselves in the foot and they capitalized.”
The Jaguars (2-4-1 VOL, 3-8-1 overall) led 2-0 at halftime and ran the lead to 3-0 before the Spartans (1-4-2, 4-8-3) got on the board with 15 minutes left in the game. Ronaldo Macias headed in a pass from Juan Luna to make the score 3-1 but that was all Lathrop could muster.

MOUNTAIN HOUSE – Alfredo Limon scored a goal and assisted on another for the Indians (2-2-1 TVL, 5-9-1 overall).
“It was a good quality game on both sides,” Ripon coach Gabe Keenan said. “Their defense was organized but we were in control most of the way.”
Armando Garcia had the lone goal of the first half on a long shot from outside the box to put the Indians ahead 1-0. One minute into the second half Limon spotted Josh Veltkamp and that bumped the Ripon lead to 2-0.
The Mustangs (0-5, 0-16) scored with 10 minutes remaining and Limon capped the scoring seven minutes later on an assist from Jordan Duran.
