Sierra’s girls tennis team ended its regular-season run with a 7-2 loss at Kimball on Tuesday.

The Timberwolves finish with a 5-9 record.

Kimball won all six singles matches and tallied a couple of revenge wins along the way. Anna Cardenas, Sierra’s No.1 player, dropped a 1-6, 6-3, 7-10 match to Kylie Moxley, who fell in straight sets in their previous meeting. Also, Kimball No. 3 Cher Lin avenged a first-half loss to Sierra’s Simran Thind, 6-0, 6-3. Annie Banks was competitive in the No. 2 singles match but was defeated by Viel Salgarino, 5-7, 3-6.

The Timberwolves nearly took all three doubles contests. Crystal Hernandez and Maria Vazquez had the early edge on Kimball’s Tarini Mudunuri and Ellen Chong but were downed 7-5, 1-6, 4-6 in battle of No. 1 tandems.

Sierra won a three-set match (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) at No. 2 doubles, where Nour Hamza and Mia Perez downed Carla Espinoza and Rachel Hall. Kelly Bacon and Samantha Jermanon won by forfeit.
