RIPON – Ripon Christian pieced together its highest-scoring performance of the season in an 84-0 win over Turlock Christian on Friday night at Stouffer Field.

The offensive showcase was inspired by a defense that kept putting the Knights in position to score.

The defense intercepted Turlock Christian seven times, turning the ball over to Andrew Brown and the offense.

Ripon Christian led 35-0 after 12 minutes and 64-0 at the intermission.

“At the end of the first quarter I called them in and told them they were making too many mistakes,” Ripon Christian head coach Randy Fasani said. “They screwed their heads on from that point on.

“Our defense had a strong effort.”

Ripon Christian senior running back Andrew Brown finished with 281 yards on 22 carries and six touchdowns.

Turlock Christian fell to 0-4 Southern League and 0-6 overall. RC (3-0, 5-1) travels to Delhi next week, with a date with Le Grand circled on Nov. 8 – the final day of the regular season.

“Our goal every year is to be a SL champion,” Fasani concluded.

Junior QB Billy Marr went 4 for 10 with 73 yards and two touchdown tosses. Kevin Kramer had a touchdown and finished with 84 yards on seven rushes.

Defensively, the Knights also had five sacks. Will Kamps, Casey Kamper and Eric Broker had six tackles apiece.
