Chelsea Gray was one of three Duke Blue Devils to be named to the all-Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball team Monday.

Gray is a Manteca native who attended Brock Elliot School before starring at St. Mary’s High of Stockton for four years. She joins teammate Elizabeth Williams, a 6-foot-3 center, on the all-ACC first team, while fellow Blue Devil Haley Peters was selected to the third team.

Gray is widely regarded to be one of the top point guards in the nation as a sophomore and already holds Duke’s single-season assist record with 173. She averages a conference-leading 6.2 assists per game to go with 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 steals. Her 14-point, 13-assist, 11-rebound effort against Pittsburgh was one of two triple-doubles recorded in the ACC this year.

Duke (15-1, 24-4 overall) opens the ACC Tournament as the No. 1 seed this Friday.
