The Manteca High girls tennis team capped a busy week Thursday with another dominant effort, trouncing visiting Tracy 9-0 in nonleague action.
It’s the Buffaloes’ third match in as many days and followed a shutout of Central Valley.
Tracy threatened to prevent the shutout in the No. 1 singles match. Manteca’s Julia Tang held off Tyler Ness, 6-4, 2-6, 10-2. Koryn Menasco defeated Isabella Ellis 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
The rest was easy work for the reigning Sac-Joaquin Section champion Buffaloes. Taylor Corona (6-2, 6-0), Makenna Condit (6-1, 6-1), Sahiba Kaur (6-3, 6-2) and Stephania Mercado (6-1, 6-0) swept their matches.
Manteca lost just three games in doubles matches. Winners were Ravneet Dhillon/Navina Mann (6-1, 6-1), Julianne Eavenson/Kaileah Johannson (6-1, 6-0) and Noeli Mercado/Melissa Poncini (6-0, 6-0).
The Buffaloes begin their defense of the Valley Oak League title next Tuesday at Central Catholic.
