Alexander Murrietta scored five touchdowns for the Manteca freshmen in a 43-20 win over Lathrop on Friday in a non-league contest at Guss Schmiedt Field.

 Murrietta (22 carries, 212 yards) had scoring runs of 2, 6, 13, 14 and 40 runs. Colton Stonum added an 18-yard scoring pass to Ricardo Villavazo.

 Jerico Santillan (7 of 15 passing, 127 yards) had a pair of touchdown passes for the Spartans, finding Chatin Sadhra for a 3-yard scoring toss and capping the night’s scoring with 62-yard scoring throw to Ahmad Jacquet.

 Andrew Yzasguirre, Aidan Marshall and Isaiah Evans all recovered fumbles for the Buffaloes and J.J. Aflleje had a fumble recovery for Lathrop.

 

East Union 22, Downey 6

 The Lancers scored all of their points in the first half and did not allow a touchdown until the fourth quarter.

 East Union’s Dylan Lee (3 of 10 passing, 96 yards) had touchdown throws of 16 yards to Matthew Mejia and 56 yards to Zavier Sadorra. Keona Cayode (four carries, 47 yards) started the night’s scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run. David Flores (seven carries, 68 yards) and Emilio Perez (11 carries, 59 yards) rounded out the balanced Lancers run game.

 Mejia led the East Union defense with five tackles, a deflection and a fumble recovery. Elijah Ware added three tackles, Anthony Sy made two interceptions and Cayode had one.
